ABOUT ME I have been drawing and doodling ever since I was a kid, emulating artists I liked or geeking myself out over a style. I am self taught, from drawing from real life, magazines, comic books, cartoons, anything that caught my fancy. I read lots of drawing books and how-to-draw books and just simply drawing for pleasure. By high school my "eye" finally opened and I was truly drawing what I was seeing. People were in proportion and people began to really admire my work. Art was still just a hobby and I had no idea how to make a living at just drawing. I joined the navy after high school and became a mechanic, but never stopped drawing. I designed T-shirts, tattoos, cruise patches (like the patches you see on flight jackets), did caricatures of chiefs in my squadron, and one mural. After I left the military 9 years later, I finally pulled my head out of my butt and decided to pursue drawing. I attended two art schools and received my degree in digital graphic art. The experience enhanced my talent and planted seeds for some new ones with digial works. I work at a local newspaper, though not in the art department. Like an animal marking it's territory, my pencil drawings have been tacked onto various cubicles of co-workers in the building and some been hanging for years. I finally placed a couple of my own up.
